We want to make the Dyne Road area (between Willesden Lane and Kilburn High Road) safer for pedestrians and cyclists by reducing the traffic volume.
Our ‘Healthy Neighbourhood’ scheme aims to reduce the number of motor vehicles using residential roads in the Dyne Road area as shortcuts and rat runs. By doing so, residents and businesses will benefit from less traffic noise, cleaner air and safer streets, in particular, for children who walk and cycle to and from school.
What does the scheme involve
We are proposing to install a range of temporary measures across five different locations. This includes:
- cameras on Dyne Road
- no entry signs and planters on Plympton Road, Torbay Road and Buckley Road
- one-way streets with contraflow cycle lanes to be introduced on Buckley Road (between Kilburn High Road and Streatley Road) and on Burton Road.
