Our core criteria
We carefully review each application to ensure every organisation in our directory demonstrates a genuine, measurable commitment to sustainability.
When considering organisations for inclusion, we look for:
Environmental Commitment: a clear, ongoing dedication to reducing your environmental impact, supported by policies and sustainable practices.
Carbon Footprint Awareness: active measurement and management of your carbon emissions, ideally using verified tools such as Climate Essentials or other verified systems, and transparent reporting of progress over time.
Energy Efficiency: clear efforts to minimise energy waste across all operations, such as upgrading lighting, heating, or insulation.
Waste Management: a sustainable waste strategy, that prioritises reuse, recycling, and waste reduction.
Ethical Supply Chain: support for suppliers that follow fair trade and environmentally responsible practices.
Community Engagement: active participation in, or support for local initiatives that benefit both the environment and the community.
Accessibility and Inclusion: Promoting social inclusion and ensuring accessibility in organisational practices.
