If you wish to place a skip on any part of the highway (public road) in Brent, you must apply to us for skip licence.
Who can apply
To ensure compliance with licence conditions, we only accept applications from skip companies. Building contractors and residents cannot apply.
When to apply

Costs
The registration fee is £327 (non-refundable) and the licence fee is £65 per fortnight.
How to apply
Skip hire companies first need to register their details with us by applying online. Applications sent through email will not be accepted.
By registering and signing in you can:
- Submit a new licence application
- Extend or renew licences
- View the licence register
- Pay a notice
By registering, you agree the terms and conditions for placing a skip on the highway.
Documents you'll need
You will also need:
- proof of your public liability insurance
- a copy of a waste transfer note
- a waste carrier’s licence certificate
- a goods vehicle operator’s licence.
