The purpose of this privacy notice is to tell you what personal information the Council’s Rescue and Response internal services and referrals team collects from you, how it is used, who it may be shared with and what happens to it.

What information we might collect from you and why?
Your information is collected for the purpose of delivering a support service for young people who are vulnerable and caught up in county lines drug distribution networks across London, and identify and use enforcement against those exploiting young people. This will benefit the public and community by reducing crime and improving the potential outcomes of young people, as required to fulfil the council’s duties under the following legislation, statutory or contractual requirement or obligation.

The lawful basis for using your information
The lawful basis conditions under GDPR will be Article 6 (c) legal obligation and (e) public task, therefore (a) consent is not required. Furthermore, where we are processing special category data, this will be under GDPR Article 9 (h).
The categories of personal data that will be processed include:
- Contact data (name, DOB, address, phone number)
- Criminal data
- Health data (mental health)

Your information will be shared with the following organisations.

Who we collect data from
We get and receive information from Brent Council- Rescue and Response project, Rescue and Response project partners (Abianda, St Giles, Safer London), all London Borough, Probation and the Police.
The information that we get is referral data, personal date, special category data. In accordance with the GDPR guidelines, ARTICLE 5(1)- it will not be retained longer than necessary in relation to the purpose for which such data is processed. Each party shall apply their own retention schedules.
Brent Council shall process your information in adherence to your information rights under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the GDPR.
