The Welsh Harp Open Space came into existence in 1965 and is a recreational area which is located to the north west of the Welsh Harp Reservoir.
The open space has been carefully developed to allow access for the enjoyment of the Local Nature Reserve and is well used by local residents and visitors alike.
The Welsh Harp Environmental Educational Centre is located at the Welsh Harp and popular activities people do in the area include:
- bird watching
- walking
- jogging
- dog walking
- organised water sports via the local sailing clubs.
Public car parking is available in the car parks at the Welsh Harp Open Space, Cool Oak Lane, Neasden Recreation Ground and that of the Youth Sailing Base. Only limited street parking is available in the surrounding housing areas.
