Buy visitor parking sessions

If you live in a Controlled Parking Zone you will need to buy visitor parking sessions if any visitors to your home need to park in a resident parking bay.

About the vouchers

  • Visitor parking sessions are electronic and nothing needs to be displayed on the visitor’s vehicle
  • Visitor parking sessions are non-refundable.

How to buy a visitor session

If you do not have a Visitor Permit Application listed on your account, you will need to apply for this before you can buy a parking session. See our video below for details on how to do this.

  1. Log in to RingGo

    To buy a visitor parking voucher you will need a RingGo account. 

    If you already have a RingGo account you can log in and apply using your existing details.

    If you need to set up a new account, you can register quickly or easily online before continuing with your purchase.

  2. Book your visitor session

    1. Once you have logged in to your RingGo account, select ‘Permit Applications’ from the menu of options.
    2. You will see a list of all applications on your account.
    3. Find your ‘Authorised Resident Visitor Permit Application’ and click on the green purchase icon.
    4. Enter details of the vehicle you would like to park. Enter the vehicle make and colour. If you don't know this, you can select ‘unknown’ for each.

  3. Pay for your visitor parking session

    Once you have entered all the session details, follow the payment instructions to complete your purchase.

    The permit will be valid instantly from the date selected. You do not need to display anything in the vehicle.

How to apply for a Visitor Parking Permit 

Resident visitor sessions can be purchased on a pay-as-you-go basis. If you are new to an area, or haven't brought a visitor parking session before, you will need to apply for a Visitor Parking Permit before you can buy a session.

Unused credits from your old parking account

Unused visitor vouchers from the previous permit portal (DASH) could not be transferred onto the new portal (RingGo).

We will issue a refund against any unused vouchers that you had left in the previous permit portal, by the end of July. The value of the refund will be based on the current fees charged for visitor parking sessions.

As a gesture of goodwill, your account will also be credited with a free all-day parking session.
