Brent launches Ticket Bank to widen access to culture and live events

Residents on lower incomes can now access free and discounted tickets for cultural and leisure activities, thanks to a partnership between Brent Council and Tickets for Good.

The initiative, called Ticket Bank, is part of Brent Council’s Culture Strategy 2026–2031, a borough-wide vision to embed culture into everyday life. The strategy aims to remove barriers to participation, invest in creative skills, and support culture as a driver of wellbeing, opportunity, and local pride.

Ticket Bank supports this ambition by ensuring that the cost of attending events is not a barrier, enabling more residents to take part in Brent’s vibrant cultural and leisure offer.

Live events bring people together, boost wellbeing, and create shared experiences. However, for many residents, rising costs and other barriers are making it harder to attend concerts, performances and sporting events.

Through Tickets for Good, eligible residents can now access free and discounted tickets to a wide range of live events across the UK. The scheme works with event partners to fill seats, grow audiences, and deliver meaningful social impact—one ticket at a time.

“

Our Culture Strategy is about making sure everyone in Brent can take part in and benefit from culture, regardless of their background or financial situation.

Cabinet Member for Communities, Culture and Cost-of-Living Support, Councillor Tina Amadi, said:

“Our Culture Strategy is about making sure everyone in Brent can take part in and benefit from culture, regardless of their background or financial situation.

Ticket Bank is a fantastic initiative that is already opening up opportunities for residents who might otherwise miss out on live events. By working with Tickets for Good, we are helping more people experience the joy and connection that culture brings, while supporting inclusion and wellbeing across our communities.”

Ticket Bank is for residents who may face barriers to accessing live events. This includes people receiving certain income-related or support-based benefits, unpaid carers, and those supported by community or charity organisations.
