Willesden Green residents are set to benefit from a new Health and Wellbeing Hub, after Brent Council’s Cabinet approved plans.
Subject to planning permission, the new Hub will provide a modern, purpose-built health centre, community spaces and wellbeing amenities - all helping to tackle health inequalities and support regeneration in the surrounding area.
It will replace the Gladstone Park Youth and Community Centre, a council-owned building which would be too costly to repair, and transform the site into a sustainable community asset.
The decision unlocks up to £2.97 million in Strategic Community Infrastructure Levy (SCIL) funding, which is a levy that allows the council to raise funds from new development in the borough.
