Join us in making Brent a greener and healthier place to live! Revive and Ride is a new scheme we have launched in partnership with Peddle My Wheels.
The scheme is all about reviving bikes which have been dumped at the Waste and Recycling Centre in Abbey Road, fixing them up and giving them a second life and donating them to local faith and community groups in Brent so that they can encourage cycling within their communities. These bikes aren’t just about getting around - they’re about connecting with others, promoting active lifestyles, and reducing carbon emissions and pollution.
We’re offering up to 10 free bikes per group, including cycle training, and guided community cycle rides. Whether you’re part of a church, mosque, temple, or local community group, you can help your members get cycling - providing a sustainable, fun way to stay active while reducing social isolation.
Why get involved?
- Make a positive impact; promote health and fight climate change: Help your community access free bikes, and encourage them to adopt healthier lifestyles which reduce their carbon footprint at the same time.
- Support for you: Get free bike training and safety equipment, plus guided cycle rides.
How to apply
It’s simple! Faith and community groups in Brent can sign up by submitting a short online application form, detailing your group, how you’ll use the bikes, where they will be stored securely, and your commitment to safety and training.
Let’s create a cleaner, healthier Brent together—give those bikes a second chance and ride into a brighter future!
Please note that availability is limited and bikes will be issued on a first come first serve based for applications that meet our scheme criteria.
