Warm Homes Local Grant

The Warm Homes Local Grant will temporarily close its application portal hosted by Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).

The programme, administered by the Greater London Authority (GLA) with the support of Warmer Home London (WHL), is helping residents lower their energy bills and create healthier, warmer homes.

London has received a high volume of applications since the grant became available in June 2025. Submission of new applications has been temporarily paused while received/current applications are assessed for eligibility.

This application portal is expected to reopen in spring 2026. Please revisit the DESNZ website at that time to submit your application.

We recognise that this may be disappointing, however, by temporarily closing the portal, we anticipate that future submissions will be processed more promptly.

A high volume of applications has already been received in London this year. To help manage the process and improve the application experience, a decision has been taken to temporarily close the portal to new applications.

I have already submitted an application but not heard from anyone – how can I find out what has happened to my application?

The application process is being managed by the Greater London Authority’s delivery partner, Sureserve. They have had difficulties contacting some applicants, despite their repeated attempts. Please call 020 3961 5210 or email SESUK.GLA@sureserve.co.uk to discuss your application.
