Carolyn Downs' Community Room
Carolyn Downs Community Room is a 60m2 space which is ideal for educational events, meetings, training events and talks or small scale performances.
It can accommodate up to 50 people (subject to layout), and includes folding tables, chairs, AV facilities.
The room cannot be hired for meetings of a political nature.

The Education room
The education room is a 49m2 space which is ideal for educational events, meetings and messy art activities.
It can accommodate up to 40 people (subject to layout), and includes folding tables, chairs, AV facilities, as well as a sink for washing up.

The Reading room
The Reading room is a space suitable for meetings, training events and talks or small scale performances.
It can accommodate up to 40 people (subject to layout).

The Performance space
The performance space is a 150m2 hall which is perfect for larger events, including small scale theatre productions and other live performances, as well as group activities such as dance classes and rehearsals.
It has a maximum capacity of 250 people, and can fit 100 people in a theatre style arrangement or 64 in an events round table arrangement.
The room comes equipped with 8 large round event tables, 100 stackable chairs, as well as portable dance mirrors and ballet barres, backdrop curtain and a collapsible stage.

Room hire package
The performance space is available to hire for events and performances however audio visual, technical or out of hours support will incur additional charges. Charges are based on minimum call out fees.
If your event requires use of the sound system (including microphones), lighting or the projector screen, an AV technician is required. Use of hirers own equipment is prohibited unless a valid PAT certificate is supplied.
Please note, cleaning charges may also be incurred. This will be discussed at the time of booking.
