The landlord portal

The Landlord Portal allows landlords, both social and private, who receive payments of Housing Benefit, to:

• view payments - see current and historic payments to you, enter your method of payment and view details of your landlord code or account
• check claims - view the status of claims, view suspended claims and view unread letters
• get in touch - report a change in your tenant’s circumstances to help prevent Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support overpayments, and add another person who can view and maintain your account.

If you already have an account, you can go straight to the portal.

Request access to the Landlord Portal

If you do not already have an account you will need to request access.

To do this, email: ll.portal@brent.gov.uk with your:

• landlord account/code
• full name (and company name if applicable)
• address
• daytime telephone number
• email address

We will then send you your username and a temporary password in separate emails.

Data protection

We take the protection of all the information we work with seriously and have rules to enforce this. If rules are deliberately broken or ignored, we reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action.

It is important that each person accessing the portal works with the information as per the rules, guidance, procedures and policies given to them. They must also understand that they have a duty of confidentiality, which means they must safeguard any personal information or data that they access.

Under the Data Protection Act, we are not allowed to tell you about any details regarding the personal circumstances of a claimant. The personal information we hold such as family and income details, cannot by law be given to an organisation, landlord or agent as this may be a breach of the Data Protection Act.

Please be aware that the customers have a right to keep such information from their landlord.
