Carlton Vale is set to be transformed into an ecologically diverse, tree-lined avenue with re-imagined public spaces and improved transportation links. This new Green Infrastructure project in the heart of South Kilburn will be known as Carlton Vale Boulevard, building upon the Masterplan Consultation sessions previously held.
The project is part of Phase 3b of the South Kilburn Regeneration Programme, delivered as part of the 2016 South Kilburn Masterplan and SPD 2017.
The Carlton Vale Boulevard proposals will take in Carlton Vale (B413) bound by Queen’s Park station in the west and the junction at Kilburn Park Road, in the east.
Current timescales
Works on site will commence in March 2024 and will be completed by Summer 2025.
Development partners
Award winning landscape architects GM Design Associates have been appointed to lead the design works for Carlton Vale Boulevard. The Public Consultation sessions started in December 2020 and finished in late 2021 after a series of consultation events, workshops and walking tour with local residents and stakeholders.
