The Church Road development will provide 99 affordable homes on a 2,3,4,5 and 6 storey buildings. The new homes will include 1,2, 3-bedroom apartments. 298m2 (GEA) retail floor spaces Class A1/A3/B1/D1 with 7 car parking spaces.
New Market Square
The existing market at Church Road continues to operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays at Church Road between the hours of 8am to 4pm. The new market which is part of the new Church Road Development will provide 44 new market stalls on Eric Road, and possible additional units subject to planning. The market stalls will be provided with charging points that the marketeers can use during market days.
The Works started on site on the 15 April 2024 and are anticipated to complete by the completion date of the 2 February 2026 which is still on programme.
Progress
The concrete frame on the North Block is complete and South Block is ongoing. External façade works are pressing ahead including Brickwork, and Scaffolding. Window deliveries continue for both blocks Internals have commenced with drainage, ducts and party walls.
