Every year an estimated 336,000 tonnes of used clothing goes to landfill in the UK. There is absolutely no need for any clothing or textiles to make its way into the grey rubbish bin.
Small items collections
You can arrange to have mixed textiles and clothes collected from your home for free.

TRAID
The charity TRAID collects unwanted clothes and textiles direct from your door. Simply book a collection time and date that suits you and one of their drivers will pick up your donation from you.
You can donate unwanted clothes, including shoes, accessories and linen, as long as it is in clean condition. Please note, they cannot collect duvets or pillows.
By donating your old unwanted textiles to TRAID, you are taking them out of the waste stream and preventing fly tipping within your area.

Love Your Clothes was launched in 2014 to address the landfill issue and to help inspire and influence people to make small conscious changes to reduce the impact of clothes on the environment.
It aims to improve the sustainability of clothing, reduce the environmental impact of clothing and increase the active life of the clothes we wear.
