Supported housing allows adults with care and support needs to maintain independence within the community.
What support is available?
We have a range of Supported Living schemes so adults can get flexible support as an alternative to living in residential care or a nursing home.
Care can be tailored to support the needs of each individual but is available 24 hours a day, if required.
With supported housing, you will have your own ensuite bedroom in a shared house, flat or studio apartment with a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom facilities. This will either be in a:
- shared house
- block of flats
We are working to get more supported living homes in Brent so more people can retain their independence, remain close to friends and family and live in their local community.
There are a number of specialist schemes available to support people with mental health needs, people with a learning disability, as well as mixed schemes for people who need general support.
Can I get Supported Living accommodation?
You will need to be referred by your care manager (social worker) to find out if you can get Supported Living.
If you do not have a care manager, please contact us for more information.
